I've heard (and experienced) that absence makes the heart grow fonder. I've also heard (and experienced) out of sight, out of mind. I've been missing here for a few weeks...I know, out of mind.
Brief explanation:
The month of August contains 31 days. Keith and I were only home together for 7 of those days. The needs of the home under those circumstances took my full attention.
I returned home from our final summer hurrah of camp week on the 30th of August with a neck injury and was sidelined by pain for a full two weeks. I learned that no matter what plans are made or what "needs" to get done, pain wins.
I'm slowly coming back into existence, tackling the neglected issues of life and pressing on with a new year of homeschooling.
I have pictures and stories that just might get told in the following weeks. With a good physical therapist on my team I am starting to gain some ground in my battle with pain!
I leave you with a chuckle. Lisa was sick with a fever and a sore throat yesterday. She asked me, "Mama, will you look inside my neck?"

Oh Cindy:
I am so sorry. I know that PT has made a HUGE difference for my back pain, but I don't think my bulging disk compares to your troubles.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and am glad you must be turning a corner.
Injury or degeneration?
Hugs
Lynn
I don't know, anything that stops you in your tracks is a big deal!
I had a great pt visit yesterday and am definitely getting back to normal.
It's degeneration aggravated (understatement) by injury. I have 3 compressed discs and bone spurs on several vertebrae.
"Only if you'll look inside mine, sweetie."
Sorry about your hurt, C. Running the house is hard enough, but with that, yikes. Hope the biggers picked up the slack for you.
