Summer Vacation/Family Camp

Looking for an affordable family destination where you can relax, fellowship with other Christians, worship God through singing and evening preaching services, hike, swim, canoe, kayak, play tennis-basketball-volleyball, participate in or just enjoy a “talent” show, and spend a week connecting with friends-family-spouse in a beautiful forested region with the greatest concentration of lakes in the world?

Northwoods Baptist Church Camp will be held the week of August 25th in Eagle River, WI. The cost of $35 per week per person (age 4 and over) or a maximum of $250 per family for the week is to cover the food. Families, couples, and singles are welcome.

My children are counting down the days (173)! Join us!

Sounds very cool. Is it an annual tradition for your family? Just curious, who does the preaching for the evening services?

This will be our 16th year. The preachers are different every year. The most "famous" (whatever that means:)) would probably be Tedd Tripp. This year they are Tom Henry from Bible Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri (a first time speaker at the camp) and Jim Gables, an evangelist (retired pastor) from Birmingham, Alabama. I first heard Jim Gables in 1983 when he was the visiting guest speaker on the Sunday I was baptized.

Sounds like so much fun, I have fond memories of church camps as a newlywed. Too bad WI is so far from WA, geographically, not alphabetically! (snort snort!)

Mom, I'm resisting the urge to make a smart comment. I just wanted you to know... :)

Email that comment privately. I don't have a clue what it could be and now I'm curious!
