Science a la Owen

Today we were reviewing what we have learned about vision and how animals see. We covered night vision, monocular and binocular vision, the compound eye of the fly, and various other things. There were some things that I thought were rather obvious, therefore we didn't dwell as long on them. My mistake. Case in point.

Me: Why do birds have such sharp eyesight?

Owen: So do they don't run into trees?

That's my boy!!! Way to guess the obvious! I like his intake, outlook, outtake, inlook...however you say it...on science!

Or windshields...or airplane engines...are you sure they have sharp eyesight?

Good point Kara Jo, maybe Owen is on to something.
